You won't actually be using this stick in the W10 installation. Use the boot camp assistant to create a Windows installation stick (use another USB drive for this) and partition your Mac. On your mac, use use the boot camp assistant to download just the support software to another USB stick.Ĭopy the data on said stick to the Windows installer-stick you created earlier. Ensure the partition scheme is set to GPT partition scheme for UEFI-CSM.Download Rufus to the Windows machine and launch it.Plug in the USB-stick you want to use for the installation.You'll need multiple USB-drives and access to a Windows (virtual) machine. It's a different system, but my steps might work for you too. I managed to install win10 in EFI mode on my late 2013 rMBP (it's a hassle because Apple does a lousy job of supporting Boot Camp). Doesn't mean we can't be adventurous and try though. Sadly, Apple doesn't officially support your Mac running Windows 10.
